My Top 5 Movies of 2021
Since becoming a film journalist in 2016 I have tried my best to watch as many new releases titles as possible. The irony is that so many movies that come out are of no interest to me, especially when there are film noirs from the 1940s or campy horror movies that have yet to grace my sight.
Still, this year I watched a total of 43 new releases and 51 new-to-me titles. The sum of these two numbers is a little lower than previous years but that is because I spent quite some time watching Bojack Horseman over and over, dove back into Law & Order: SVU from the very beginning of the 23 seasons that exist, and made my Bachelorette fan debut with the newest season. I’m not proud of all of this information I am publicly announcing for the internet to read but hey, there is nothing wrong with the truth! Anyway, here are my top films of 2021:
5. Wild Indian directed by Lyle Mitchell Corbine Jr.
